Civil and Criminal Court of Margao building Complex is situated in Margao city, the commercial capital of Goa. The Civil and Criminal Court building is situated in the heart of the city. The KTC Bus Stand is just ½ km away from the Court Complex. Another major attraction is the Jawarharlal Nehru Stadium which is a stone throw’s away from the Complex.

The world famous Colva Beach is just 7 kms. The Taluka Legal Services Committee functions under the senior most judicial officer of the station, which conduct regular Lok Adalats, legal literacy camps and legal awareness programmes.

There are 8 Courts located in an ancient building built during the Portuguese regime and a newly constructed Annexe building.The newly constructed Annexe building was inaugurated on 7.4.1997 by the Hon’ble Shri Justice M.B. Shah, the then Chief Justice of Bombay High Court.

There are Judicial Officers Quarters Complex situated at Monte Hill Margao which houses 6 Judicial Officers in addition to Bungalow of Principal District & Sessions Judge and two Judicial Officers in the cadre of District Judges.

Civil and Criminal Courts - Vasco



The Vasco Civil and Criminal Court Complex are situated in the heart of the port town of Vasco . The Mormugao natural harbour and the international Dabolim airport fall within the limits of Vasco city. The Vasco Railway Station just a hundred meters away from the Court Complex.

The newly constructed Vasco Court building houses four Courts i.e. two Civil Judge Senior Division and two Civil Judge Junior Division. The said Court Complex was inaugurated on 6.6.1998 by the Hon’ble Shri Justice M.B. Shah, the then Chief Justice of Bombay High Court.

All the Courts are empowered with the powers of Judicial Magistrate First Class.

The Taluka Legal Services Committee functions under the senior most judicial officer of the station, which conduct regular Lok Adalats, legal literacy camps and legal awareness programmes.

Quepem Civil and Criminal Court is situated in the picturesque town of Quepem along the River Khushavati. The famous temple of Lord Damodar at Zambaulim known for its annual festival of ‘Gulal” is situated just 4 kms away from the Court Complex.

Quepem Civil and Criminal Court complex is an old Portuguese building which houses two Courts i.e. one Civil Judge, Senior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class and the other Civil Judge, Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class.

The newly constructed Court was inaugurated on  2.10.1990 by Shri Justice C. Mukerjee, the then Chief Justice of Bombay High Court.
